BPS0883 BAPA SafiyeVurdu 8x12Safiye Vurdu began singing training at eight years old with Nancy D’Agostino, and, through this, discovered her passion for all things performing arts. Before studying a BA in Music Theatre at the Arts Academy, Federation University, Safiye was the lead singer and co-songwriter of Melbourne band Vacant Skies. Safiye has also worked as a sessional vocal recording artist for musicians such as John Trager. During her time at the Arts Academy Safiye’s highlights include “Urinetown” (Little Sally cover), “Thoroughly Modern Millie” (Bun Foo), “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” (Helena Landless cover) and her self-devised cabaret “What Would James Dean Do (WWJDD)?”
