Growing up in Melbourne, Patrick Schnur always had a very musical background. However, his love for music theatre first blossomed when he became sick of being in the orchestra pit for his high school musicals and decided to take to the stage instead. From Melbourne, Patrick went on to Ballarat to study a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre at Federation University.
Theatre credits at the Arts Academy include a workshop of “Motor-Mouth Loves Suckface: An Apocalyptic Musical” (Motor-Mouth), “The Pajama Game” (Pop/Hines understudy), “The Addams Family” (Lurch) and “Into The Woods” (Wolf). Patrick also performed his own cabaret, “You Had Me At Cello” – Opus 20: A Little Klaus Music, where he sung and also played his cello in both Ballarat and Melbourne seasons.
While he is primarily trained in the cello, Patrick is an avid multi-instrumentalist and also studies the guitar, ukulele and piano.
In December of 2016, Patrick made his professional debut with the Australian Shakespeare Company in their production of “Twelfth Night”, playing the Officer as well as being the Male Understudy.
