Nicole Kaminski’s desire to entertain began under the training of her wonderful teacher in Perth at the Valerie Heston School of Dance. She soon discovered that theatre was the way she wanted to channel her talent, and so in 2011 completed a Certificate II Musical Theatre at WAAPA. While living and training in Perth, she was privileged to work not once, but twice under the direction of the late great John Milson (OA).
In 2013, Nicole relocated to Ballarat to complete a BA in Musical Theatre, graduating with credits including the title role of Millie Dillmount in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” as well as ensemble roles in “The Mystery of Edwin Drood”, and “Urinetown”. Studying at Ballarat also gave her the incredible opportunity to be directed by an Australian stage legend Nancye Hayes.
In 2015, Nicole participated in New Voices workshop with Matthew Lee Robinson, and this year was cast in “Motormouth Loves Suckface”, a new Australian work by Anthony Crowley, which has helped to solidify her passion for new and exciting Australian theatre. It is her hope that her performing career will include the opportunity to work with many more creative and innovative art makers!
