She is a smart and talented young lady with a diverse Japanese, Spanish and Filipino heritage. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at the University of San Carlos in the Philippines and will soon attain her Master of Creative Arts degree at Deakin University. As an artist, Theatre and Screen Acting have always been her greatest passions in life.
At an early age, Erica portrayed one of the dancers in “West Side Story” under her primary school’s biggest stage production entitled “Broadway Our Way”. She has done Contemporary, Hawaiian and Ballet dance classes and was also a choir member and a participant in several dance productions for 6 years. Right after she graduated from High School, she attended workshops at Fashion TV Model School and Bigfoot Entertainment, where she underwent extensive training in Modeling, Acting and Make-up. She also became one of the National finalists of Fashion TV Model Awards Philippines.
With Erica’s diverse look, professional work ethic and admirable attitude, she was able to spontaneously gain TV and newspaper publicity from local and national pageants such as Miss Teen Philippines 2008 and Miss Cebu 2011, for modeling for the collections of Filipino designers and international brands such as LA Gear, Nautilus, Nike, Ipanema and Top Shop. She was also a lifestyle model in magazines, and in a travel book entitled “Best of the Best – Philippines” travel book and an image model of Closet Collection for 4 years. She was also trained in public speaking, writing and personality development.
On January 2013, Erica had her first international acting role in episodes 5 and 6 of a hit Korean drama/comedy TV series produced by SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) Korea entitled "Won-du-pool Mama" a.k.a. "Wonderful Mama". She co-starred with famous Korean actors Park Bo Gum, Kim Ji Suk and Jeong Yu Mi. Just before she left for Melbourne, she became a guest singer/duet partner with Philippines’ Internationally renowned legendary singer of all time, Jose Mari Chan, in one of his concerts.
In Melbourne, Erica still engaged herself in modeling, even though her main focus is now more on her acting career. She was a lifestyle model in “Vanilla Magazine” owned by Vanilla Lounge. She worked on a promotional video with UK based celebrity makeup artist, Ariane Poole and many other projects. Contemporary dance has also been her favorite, yet she took Fan Dance classes for a couple of months at Maison Bulresque, since she was very fascinated with some classical moves. She has performed at the “Cherry Poppers” show produced by Maison Burlesque, The Australian Burlesque School & Miss Jane Doe in 2015.
Erica also starred in an online commercial for Deakin University’s new program “Deakin Juris Doctor”. On January 2016, she landed lead roles in Australian short films and in a feature film as well. She is currently in an ongoing training with one of the most prestigious acting schools in Victoria, Melbourne Actor’s Lab where they are taught Method Acting from the teachings of the late Lee Strasberg. She believes that successful actors would always continue to train and focus on the work first rather than fame.
Though Erica is a free spirited artist who’s very passionate about doing a variety of activities, yet she is always keeping herself on the right track towards her goals in life.
