Cameron Bajraktarevic-Hayward is 14 years old, and currently is undergoing Year 9 at the Conservatorium of Music High School where he is a double major in flute and voice (lyrical baritone). He also plays the cello.
Cameron spent his primary school years at the McDonald College where he was in the classical ballet stream and also learned jazz, contemporary and lyrical dance.
Cameron has been in many community musical theatre productions including his auspicious start as the titular lead role in “Oliver!” with the Holroyd Musical Society. In addition to Chatswood Musical Society and Ruby Productions, his first show with Packemin Productions was also in “Oliver!” where he was in the Fagin’s Gang. In 2015, he played the cello in the orchestra for the Packemin production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”.
Cameron is a member of the Gondwana Voices Young Men’s Choir. When he is not performing, he keeps himself busy with composing, drawing and creative writing. He would like a career in musical theatre, opera and film composition. He would like to study at the Royal College of music in London, UK.
In late July 2016, Cameron is proud to have won first place in Ryde Eisteddfod, putting his own stamp on the song of his choice ‘Music of the Night’ from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera”.
