Alex Osmond is a dynamic young film and television actor based in Sydney, Australia. He has also cut his teeth as a singer/songwriter and commercial dancer. He has been thoroughly trained by some of the top acting coaches, choreographers, directors, casting directors and industry professionals stateside as well as Los Angeles and New York. Their advice and nurturing has led him to develop and define a sensitive, mysterious, cheeky, creative, artistic and a more mature self-brand: all the qualities you want in an ‘offbeat lead’.
Alex toured the world as a lead in the live stadium adaption of the hugely popular children's television series “Ben 10: Alien Force” as well as hosting live children shows like “The PowerPuff Girls” for Cartoon Network. Alex's kid-friendly and technically perfect array of talent led him to be featured in the film "Some Kind of Wonderful" as a Top 7 finalist, beating 1,000 hopefuls to become the newest member of Hi-5 Australia in 2014.
Alex is currently studying an online full time degree in counseling which he finds absolutely fascinating and therefore incredibly conducive to the approach in acting (how the human condition and behaviour can affect and inform complex thought processes). This degree not only feeds into his commitment towards his one true passion but also his philosophical position as a ‘particularist’.
Alex’s proactive and comfortable rapport with casting houses and audition directors across numerous commercials, print campaigns, short films and fashion shows has shown a death-defying expectation and willingness to reinvent himself for all intents and purposes of extreme longevity. Indeed his career is every as bit confident and as embellishing as his own brand.
